LOS ANGELES, July 6, 2016 – Paul Franklin has been named President of CBS Television Distribution (CTD), it was announced today by Leslie Moonves, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Corporation. In his new role, which reports to Moonves, Franklin will oversee all operations for CBS's domestic syndication company.

At the same time, Armando Nuñez, who has led both CTD and CBS Studios International for the past four years, while nearly doubling CBS's international revenue growth during that time, will now solely focus on the Company's vast opportunities overseas as President and CEO, CBS Studios International.

Franklin, who joins CBS this week, will assume oversight of a division that features six of the top 10 first-run syndicated shows; including long-running franchises such as JUDGE JUDY, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, DR. PHIL, WHEEL OF FORTUNE andJEOPARDY!. The division also provides a pipeline of top-rated, off-network programming from CBS Television Studios to the broadcast syndication market.

Franklin comes to CBS from 20th Television where, for the past 10 years, he served as Executive Vice President and General Sales Manager for 20th Television and MyNetworkTV. In this dual role, he led all broadcast syndication sales for the studio and distribution strategies for the national programming service. During this time, he orchestrated highly successful syndication launches for numerous series, such as "Modern Family," "How I Met Your Mother," "Last Man Standing" and "Family Guy," and helped establish the MyNetworkTV distribution system, programming strategy and brand identity for its 180 affiliates.

Under Nuñez, CBS Studios International has become one of the biggest growth engines in the Company. He has built CSI and NCIS into global franchises, established local channel ventures with prominent media companies around the world, expanded the reach of SHOWTIME programming and its brand across the globe, and skillfully monetized all CBS-owned content across a burgeoning international multiplatform marketplace. As a result, CBS's international revenues have tripled over the past eight years and are poised for continued growth.

During the course of Franklin's 28-year career at 20th, he led national and regional sales strategies for a wide variety of off-network and first-run programming and feature films. His syndication sales campaigns include "The Simpsons," "Bones," "The X-Files," "COPS," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Bernie Mac," "Burn Notice" and the long-running, first-run hit "Divorce Court," to name a few.

Nuñez has led CBS's international operations since joining the company in July 1999 as President, CBS Broadcast International. In January 2000, following the merger of CBS Television and King World Productions, he assumed the role of President, CBS Broadcast International and Executive Vice President, CBS Enterprises. He was named President, CBS Studios International (formerly CBS Paramount International Television), in August 2004, following the merger of CBS Broadcast International and Paramount International Television. Nuñez was appointed President and CEO of the CBS Global Distribution Group in 2012.
