TWO-TIME EMMY AWARD NOMINEE DEBBIE MATENOPOULOS JOINS ‘THE INSIDER’ AS HOST
June 16, 2015 (Los Angeles, CA) – Debbie Matenopoulos will join the Emmy-nominated entertainment newsmagazine THE INSIDER as host alongside Louis Aguirre starting Monday, July 6, replacing Thea Andrews, it was announced today by Executive Producer Brad Bessey. Most recently, Matenopoulos joined THE INSIDER as a special correspondent throughout May 2015 for exclusive sit-down interviews with talk show legends Sally Jessy Raphael, Martha Stewart, Joy Behar, Kathie Lee Gifford, Rolanda Watts and Leeza Gibbons.
"Our audience really connects with Debbie and she has great chemistry with Louis and the team," said Bessey. "She's down-to-earth, plugged into celebrity news and pop-culture, has a vibrant personality and is a true industry insider. In many ways she is the personification of The Insider brand."
A seasoned journalist, Matenopoulos first joined THE INSIDER in January 2012 as a correspondent and in her almost two decades reporting on Hollywood, she has covered the latest in pop culture and entertainment news as a host for The View, TV Guide Channel, E! Entertainment Television and most recently for Hallmark Channel's Home & Family. Debbie released her first best-selling cookbook, IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME, in the spring of 2014.
Debbie and her husband Jon Falcone welcomed their first daughter, Alexandra Kalliope Falcone, on October 29th 2014.
