ACTOR AND TELEVISION HOST CAMERON MATHISON JOINS ‘ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT’ AS CORRESPONDENT AND CO-ANCHOR OF THE SHOW’S WEEKEND EDITION


April 6, 2015 (Los Angeles, CA) –  Actor and television host Cameron Mathison will join the top-rated, Emmy Award-winning entertainment newsmagazine ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT as a full-time correspondent, fill-in anchor and co-anchor of ET's weekend show starting in April, it was announced today by Executive Producer Brad Bessey.

"Cameron is hardworking, charismatic, comfortable on set, on the red carpets and in intimate celebrity one-on-ones," said Bessey.  "He's joined us for special assignments throughout the year, and we are thrilled that he is now a permanent member of the Entertainment Tonight team."

Recently, Mathison was a guest correspondent for ET in 2014 when he hosted the show's red carpet coverage at the Daytime Emmy Awards, as well as interviewed Julia Roberts and the cast of "The Normal Heart" and Robin Roberts about her book and surviving breast cancer.  

Mathison is a features correspondent with "Good Morning America" and perhaps best known for his role as Ryan Lavery on the soap opera "All My Children." The Emmy-nominated actor has appeared on screen in both film and television projects.  Mathison has appeared in multiple movies for The Hallmark Channel and had starring roles on top television shows, including TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland," Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva," ABC's "Desperate Housewives," "Castle" and "The Job," and CBS' "CSI" and "JAG." Notably, he was a contestant on season five of "Dancing With the Stars" and co-hosted the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
